The recommended hotels are the Saga Motor Hotel (closest and least expensive) and the Courtyard by Marriott (fancier and in a more interesting area, but considerably further and more expensive). For other alternatives, we suggest surfing the internet.

A Caltech reduced room rate can be obtained from the Saga Motor Hotel, a classic 1950’s style motel about a 15-20 minute walk from Caltech. Please mention the PROM workshop and reserve as soon as possible directly with the hotel as rooms are limited. The Caltech rates at the Saga are $77 single, $84 king, $88 pool side, all rates plus tax; parking is free. For information on how to get to Saga Motel from the airport using inexpensive public transportation, and for information on walking from Saga Motel to the workshop location:

The Courtyard by Marriott about 2 miles away and adjacent to Old Pasadena, the very attractive restaurant and entertainment area of Pasadena. The Caltech rate at the Marriott is $159 plus tax (mention Caltech when making the reservation); parking is $15/day. The Pasadena ARTS bus #10 could be used to go from the hotel to Caltech or the hotel shuttle could be reserved; walking would take about 40-50 minutes.
